Sensex advanced 250 points during the early trade on Tuesday. The Nifty traded above the 12,100 mark during the early trade.
At 10.08 a.m., the Sensex was at 41,188.84 up by 250.12 or 0.61 per cent. It opened at 41,052.36 from its previous close of 40,938.72.
The Nifty was trading at 12,121.35, up 67.40 points of 0.56 per cent.
On Monday, data showed WPI inflation advanced to 0.58 per cent in November from 0.16 per cent in October, driven by an increase in prices of food articles, which weakened the market sentiments.
