Egiye Chalo Sangha today simply thrashed Nine Bullets and reached to the semifinal of the ongoing Rakhal Shield memorial knock out football tournament. At Umakanta mini stadium today, Egiye Chalo defeated Nine Bullets by a huge margin of 5-0 in a one sided encounter. Notably Nine Bullets was the league winner of last year and they have been knocked out this year from the league stage of the tournament.
Debraj Jamatia was the hero of the match as he scored two goals in a wet outfield. Due to yesterday’s rain the condition of the outfield was very much wet and due to that reason both the teams failed to play their best in the match. Also there were lots of communication gaps between the players of both the sides but in between this also Egiye Chalo proved their presence in the tournament with some outstanding display of skills.
Egiye Chalo looked a balanced team and as per the football experts this team will go long if they get proper training. In the 10th minute of the match Egiye Chalo took the lead as Pritam Hussein scored the opening goal while 10 minutes later Sagar Das scored the second goal of the match due to some poor defense by Nine Bullets players. No more further goals have been scored as the first half of the match went in favour of Egiye Chalo by 2-0.
In the second half also Egiye Chalo players started to play attacking as in the 64th minute of the match Angel Debbarma scored the third goal while in 81st and 89th minute two back to back goals have been scored by Debraj Jamatia and sealed the match for Egiye Chalo by 5-0.
