In what appears to be an example of sheer negligence from the part of railway officials, railway passengers waiting in the platforms of Dharmanagar railway station narrowly escaped a big accident as a railway engine collided to a railway bogie this morning.
Though no casualties have been reported owing to the incident, people waiting in queues for trains witnessed an alarming situation.
The local journalists of the state who went to cover the incident were, reportedly, prevented by the railway officials raising questions on the conduct of the railway department.
