Police administration of Sabroom got success again by recovering cow from Bangladesh with assistance of BSF and BDR. Local people alleged that cattle smuggling is going on everyday by crossing Feni River from Indian side to Bangladesh side through understanding with BSF.
On being informed police took initiative to catch the smugglers red handed at the time of smuggling. After raid police recovered nine cows from Madan Mohan Palli, Damdama, Ludhua and different places adjacent to border.
Sources said that the cows were brought for smuggling in Bangladesh. Among the cattle seven bulls, one milk bearing cow and a calf are included.
Meanwhile a gang of cow lifters have stolen cow from the house of Tapan Dey at Kathalcherri. Police administration took prompt action on getting complaint from Tapan Dey. At last the cow recovered from Bangladesh with initiative of OC of Sabroom Police Station Kamal Kar Choudhury and Assistant Commandant of BSF 66 Battalion. The special initiative of Sabroom police administration created threat for the smugglers and mafias.
In the meantime small thefts increased in the border adjacent areas. Local people raised demand to increase patrolling of BSF at Indo-Bangla Border area.
