The Congress President in Tripura Pradyot Kishore Dev Barman today said polarisation has leaded the Bharatiya Janata Party in the nation win this Lok Sabha election.
"The BJP had always been creating impression saying congress and CPI-M do not talks for Hindus across the nation, which is absolutely wrong," adding to this Pradyot today said, "The congress needs to counter this polarisation chapter."
Pradyot was addressing interacting with the media here at Agartala Congress Bhawan this evening.
On being asked Pradyot said, "Polarisation is a definite factor which lead the BJP win this election. The second factor is that the CPI-M despite having 16 MLAs with the party left the field to boost the BJP in Tripura."
Meantime, Pradyot also said, "Congress has now become the second largest party in Tripura with hike in vote percentage leaving the CPI-M and the IPFT behind." He said, "BJP would have seen its lose if IPFT would have jointly battle this election."
However, later talking to the media this evening, Pradyot said, "Congress shall move to the Supreme Court of India seeking justice for the people of this state who fell prey into the violence after the poll result." Pradyot urged upon the victims of this violence to approach the Congress party with FIR copy attached with the photos of violence.
He said, "The Congress shall seek compensation from the Election Commission of India and other government stakeholders for the people fell prey into the violence."
