Plastic collection van flagged off in Agartala to make NHs plastic free

AGARTALA:

To make the National highways in Tripura plastic free, a plastic collection van is flagged off today here at Agartala which moved different parts of the state today to collect the plastic bags and wastes in it.

BJP MLA Kalyani Roy has flagged off this van from Agartala Rabindra Bhawan premises in presence of the officials of the state PWD department. This campaign vehicle is aimed to propagate and carry out action on Swachhata hi Seva on National Highway (NH) and state highways this morning as part of Swachha Pakhwada.

The campaign's ,organised by PWD NH Division of West Tripura, vehicle would move on NH, all major roads and local markets to campaign against single use plastic and basic cleanliness issues for next fortnight.

This Van will pick up all plastic waste littered on the road sides and make people aware about the ill-effect of plastic pollution.
