Tension gripped Chinaihani area located under Airport police station after miscreants open fired at the residence of one Ruma Das Baidya close on the heels of a similar incidence took place at Natunagar.
Reportedly, the incident took place late on the Tuesday night when people come out of houses hearing the sound of open fire.
Speaking to the media persons, the victim said, a number of miscreants attacked her husband few days back and he is still missing.
“My husband has been beaten by a group of miscreants. In order to evade further attack he left house and he is still missing. An FIR has been lodged with the local police station but no actions taken” alleged the woman.
On the other hand, police refuted the allegations raised against them and said that the police had started probing the matter.
