The situation turned violent at Udaipur when one U.D. Clerk of Water Resource Department was beaten up by HGB supporter cadre during office hours today. The incident created tension among the employees of the subdivision. A case also filed at R.K. Pur Police Station in connection with the incident.
Sources said that Leftist employee LDC Abhijit Das attacked UDC Sudhir Ranjan Kasari (53) at Water Resource Division (III) at about 5 p.m. today. In the attack ribs of chest of the Office Secretary of BMS, Gomati District Committee Kasari were collapsed. The other employees rescued injured Keshari from Abhijit Das in seriously injured condition and shifted him to Udaipur Subdivision Hospital.
On being informed the employee leaders of BMS and TRKS rushed to the office. Meanwhile Agriculture and Transport minister Pranajit Sinha Roy and Chairperson of UMC Shital Majumder rushed to the Hospital to observe the condition of injured BMS worker and demanded punishment of the accused person.
A written complaint filed at R.K. Pur Police Station at night today. Meanwhile police detained the accused HGB supporter employee. The incident of attack of Office Secretary of BMS created lot of reaction among the employees and tension prevailing at the subdivision.
