With more 16 Tablighi returnees is traced and quarantined in Tripura today, the state has recorded no COVID-19 positive case so far. While confirming this in social media on Saturday evening, the chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb said, “As per the inputs received from Health Department a total 4910 persons are in quarantine now.”
He said, “As many as 4782 persons including 104 international travellers are under Home Quarantine. Total 128 including 1 international traveler are under Facility Quarantine Centres.”
“Total 191 samples have been tested till today and the reports came negative,” adding to this Mr. Deb stated, “As many as 4954 persons have completed the observation period so far.”
Meantime, he also said, “Two citizens of Tripura who have been tested COVID19 positive in Bikaner, Rajasthan are stable now and they are undergoing treatment in a local hospital of the state.”
The duo left the state on 5th March last and didn’t return Tripura after attending the religious event in Nizamuddin. Mr. Deb said, “Their families in Tripura are under observation now.”
