Vice-chairperson of Kailashahar municipal council returned to his post after a pause of few months followed by a High Court order.
Nitish had been invalidated of holding his charges citing some political reasons. But, as the Urban Development department in its affidavit clarified his eligibility of being appointed as the vice-chairperson of the civic body, he once again assumed his charge today.
Reportedly, in its affidavit, the Urban department clarified that Nitish was a BJP member from 2014 and due to some internal bickering within the party, he contested the elections independently. As there were no problems left, he rejoined his party after being elected.
However, local party leaders greeted Nitish for his return through organizing a rally in the locality. It is also worthy to be mentioned here, the Court barred him from continuing his charges as he joined BJP after being elected which was not permissible as per the civic rules.
