Tripura state legal service authority has on today organized third national Lok Adalat throughout the state. The authorities have set up 44 courts altogether at different parts of the state.
According to a press statement issued by the authorities, a total of 2324 number of cases was taken up for hearing out of which 378 cases were disposed. A settlement amount of Rs 2,20,16,792 have been recovered from the parties during the courts.
The Lok Adalat generally hears cases in connection with MCAT appeal, Matrimonial cases, IN act, civil cases and Criminal compoundable cases etc.
Speaking to the media persons, Justice Arindam Lodh of the Tripura High Court said, “I would like draw concern of people through your media that people should come up here in the Lok Adalat. The media should play a vital role in generating awareness among people about Lok Adalat.”
