A shop of cartoons, old books and khata gutted by the fire of sabotage near Gorur Bazar of Halahali in last night. The amount of loss is about Rs. 1.5 lakh.
Sources said that some miscreants set fire at the building of the shop at 2:30 a.m. in wee hours of night. Speaking to media owner of the shop Ranjan Roy said that he went to house at 11 a.m. by shutting down the shop. Later night guards of other shops saw the flame of fire at 2:30 a.m. and informed him. In the meantime everything reduced into ashes.
On being informed Fire Service rushed to the spot and controlled the fire.
Ranjan Roy has a business of sending cartoon, old books and khata to the companies out of the state. But he became bankrupt by the fire in last night.
Meanwhile Roy filed a complaint with name of suspected five persons at Kamalpur Police Station. The names are Karuna Sutradhar, Badal Sutradhar, Kajal Sutradhar, Sanjit Sutradhar and Satyaban Sutradhar. Meanwhile police started investigation after getting the complaint.
