In a tragic incident, a minor girl was reportedly gang raped by a group of unidentified youth and left open in the road at Sonamura today.
According to reports, the girl was returning home after attending her exams in a local school when she was abducted and tortured physically. The eyewitnesses said, the blood-soaked body of the victim was thrown out of a black colour car.
The on duty doctors confirmed that she had been subjected to physical torture. Following her critical condition, doctors referred the victim to GBP hospital.
Speaking to this correspondent, SDPO Sonamura Souvik Dey said, preliminary reports are suggesting that the victim has been raped but the investigation is still underway. We have taken all the necessary measures to track the perpetrators, he added.
