General Secretary of Krishnapur Mandal BJP Rajkumar Sarkar was attacked and injured by oil mafia after a dispute between both on share of illegal fuel business. At present the Mandal leader is under treatment in senseless condition at G.B. Hospital.
The incident took place at the premises of Chakmaghat Barrage under Krishnapur constituency at night yesterday.
Later fuel mafia of Left period Balaram Saha (Bala) surrendered at Teliamura Police Station and described the incident after admitting his crime. He said that leader of Krishnapur Mandal Rajkumar Sarkar engaged along with him in business of supplying fuel for mobile tower by mixing diesel with Kerosene collected illegally from ration shop. The payment for fuel on behalf of the company sanctioned in the name of Rajkumar Sarkar. Although, he allegedly misappropriated huge amount of money and deprived Balaram from his share. The incident created dispute between both.
With that issue Balaram attacked Rajakumar with wooden stand when he got the leader alone at Chakmaghat. Later he was shifted Teliamura Hospital and from there he was referred to G.B. Hospital due to seriousness of his condition.
Meanwhile police seized 1500 Liter kerosene with car smuggled by the fuel mafias which was being collected for smuggling. Accordingly police filed case against them. Later police arrested Balaram Saha after surrender according to Section 307/325 of IPC. The accused person sent to Khowai Court today. The incident created a tensed situation at the locality.
