Police of Gomati district got another success when the Master mind of Maharani Petrol Pump robbery surrendered today.
Sources said that the main accused of looting Maharani Petrol Pump Ram Jamatia surrendered at Assam Rifles Outpost in Thelakum area under Killa Police Station today.
Later the AR Outpost authority handed over him to R.K. Pur Police Station. He will be produced at court tomorrow.
Police sources said that Ram Jamatia was a surrendered terrorist and he was involved with many criminal activities in Gomati district. Now police started interrogation to bring out information from him. Meanwhile 6 looters arrested in connection with the robbery and they are in jail now.
In a separate incident body of 4 to 5 days new born girl child found at rubber plantation of Suman Das at Tepania in Udaipur today. The owner of the plantation recovered the body from a hole in ground after getting odor from the area. The body was covered in cloth.
On being informed police from R.K. Pur Police Station rushed to the spot and sent the body to morgue of the District Hospital. Local people suspected that the child was killed as she was a girl child while police suspected that it could be case murder after illegal birth.
