At last police from Dharmanagar Police Station succeeded to arrest the master mind of ATM card forgery with the help of SBI Bank staff and a journalist today.
Meanwhile police got 8 complaints against the person who snatched 5 ATM cards from the bank depositors in the name of withdrawing money from ATM. Police recovered Rs. 30,000 and 5 ATM cards from the fraud person Abdul Jabbar.
He is from Chagalchema village of Bazari Cherra under Patharkandi Police Station. At present he is staying with his two wives at house of Mukmad Ali at Durgapur area of Dharmanagar.
Police succeeded to arrest him when he fled away by changing the ATM card of Ruma Sukla Baidya in the name of helping the woman to withdraw Rs. 500. Immediately Sukla Baidya gave the information to SBI Rajdeep Deb. On his request the bank staffs blocked the ATM card and saved Rs. 70,000.
At last police arrested Jabbar with the help of Rajdeep Deb and journalist Pramathesh Ghosh. Meanwhile Jabbar snatched ATM card of Nupur Malakar and Sanchayeera Begam in same process.
