Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma has on today assured that the government would surely provide the DA (Dearness Allowances) to its employees despite paucity of funds.
“The government is eager to give everything that its employees deserve. This government has started from minus (deficit). It may take some time, but the government will surely resolve all the problems of its employees” said Jishnu while addressing the Annual General Conference of All Tripura Scheduled Caste Officers’ Welfare Society.
Taking a dig at the previous Left Front government, he said, the Left rule which is claimed to be the golden time of the state left a deficit to this government. “We failed to trace the gold stock of golden time (Left regime) but bearing a burden of debt left by them” he added.
“We are here”, he said, “We will listen to everyone with patience. Our government does not charge subscription to its employees. But, we want them to be confident. We need to work together; government employees are the implementing end of the government”.
Hailing the organization, he said, it is, indeed, a good initiative to be united. Unity calls for responsibility and it drives any united outfit to fulfill its goals. “This government has a motto to serve the underprivileged. Development of SC and ST communities are some of the core areas where the government is focusing. Unity among the communities also brings in responsibility towards betterment” Jishnu told the gathering.
However, a 23 member new committee of the society had been announced today.
