Heavy rain failed to make any effect as Inter College Football tournament started from today at Tripura University field. In the opening match Ramthakur College defeated Kanchanpur College by 1-0 and thus started the tournament on a winning note.
Both the teams played similar kind of football in the first half and failed to score in that period.
In the 24th minute of the second half Ramthakur College scored the only goal of the match and in the end won the match by 1-0.
On the other hand before the match today the tournament has been inaugurated by Vice Chancellor of Tripura University Anjan Kumar Ghosh.
Tomorrow 6 matches will be held as two of them will be held at ONGC while the rest will be held at T.U.
