One tribal house wife injured seriously by firing and hospitalized at G.B. Hospital yesterday as a result of previous enmity between her husband and another 2 persons under Killa Police Station area.
Sources said that two miscreants fired at Padma Rani Jamatia (34), wife of Laxmicharan Jamatia from a country made gun at 6 a.m. yesterday at Kachigang ADC village area. Immediately she fell down on the ground. The miscreants fled away when the neighbors rushed to the spot hearing the sound of firing. Padma Rani was shifted immediately to Gomati District Hospital. But the doctors shifted her to G.B. Hospital observing seriousness of her injury.
Sources said that Laxmicharan had previous enmity with two persons of the locality. They planned to kill Laxmi charan. But the bullet targeted his wife due to misfiring. On being informed OC of Killa Police Station Biswajit Debbarma rushed to the spot and started investigation.
Later the family members of the victim filed complain against two miscreants Apurai Jamatia and Chalasaya Jamatia. Police sources said that the miscreants are absconding. The incident sparked tension at entire area.
