Chairperson of Udaipur Municipal Council inaugurated Bi-enniel Conference of Tripura Journalist Union (TJU) of Gomati District Committee at the premises of Gomati Zila Parishad today.
Tripura State Secretary of TJU Pranab Sarkar presided over the meeting. Another member Sourajit Paul was also present on the occasion. At the first stage State Secretary hoisted flag of TJU and offered tribute to the martyr journalists who sacrificed life to perform professional responsibility in and out of state and abroad.
Speaking on the occasion Chairperson of UMC Majumder expected constructive criticism from journalists for development of UMC.
Secretary of UJU, Gomati Dilip Dutta submitted the secretarial report and Treasurer Tapas Majumder submitted financial report. After discussion of delegates Gomati District Committee, Udaipur, Amarpur and Karbook Subdivision Committees were formed.
TJU Gomati District Committee was formed along with 11 delegates. Ratan Das, Dilip Dutta and Tapas Majumder re-elected as president, Secretary and Treasurer again.
