Girls Hostel of residential school inaugurated at Shyam Singh

SABROOM:

A new feather added in the development works of Sabroom subdivision with the inauguration of Tribal Girls’ Hostel at Shyam Singh H.S. School. Shyam Singh is a remote village surrounded by hill at 15 KM away from Sabroom.

The Residential School started its journey with 50 girls who came from Shyam Singh, Harbatali, Betaga, Bhangmura and Manughat areas.

MLA of Shantirbazar Promode Reang inaugurated the 50 bedded Girls hostel of the Resident School in presence of MLA Sankar Roy, DM of South Debapriyo Bardhan, SDM Biplab Das and Education Officer of South district Arun Das. Headmaster in charge of the school Harimohan Tripura presided over the programme.

Speaking on the occasion MLA Sankar Roy said, “Construction of residential school was one among the assurances given by BJP before assembly poll and it fulfilled with the inauguration.

Referring the purpose of the school is to take education at rural stage he appealed the guardians, teachers and local people to cooperate for making the purpose successful. He also appealed to revamp infrastructure of education and their will not be shortage of anything for acquiring education.

Pramode Reang appealed the teachers to work with responsibility. An amount of Rs. 1.38 crore allotted for the residential school.
