Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma today said that GeM (Government e-marketplace) had been proved as an assured success tool for the emerging enterprises and SHG groups across the state as they could easily market their products in the national markets.
“The rural SHG groups and MSMEs are the greatest beneficiaries of this GeM service. They can easily market their products in the national markets through GeM system which is an easily accessible way to gain benefit out of it” Jishnu told a one day workshop organized Agartala town hall today.
The minister also urged the government departments and PSUs running under state to procure products through GeM. “In terms of procurement, GeM is one of the easiest way. This initiative under the Ministry of trade and commerce has both way benefits” he observed.
Additional CEO to GeM initiative, Paritosh Singhal said that due to increasing participation of government agencies this initiative was getting expanded all over and hoped that it would fetch better results in the future.
