The former Lok Sabha MP of Tripura Jitendra Choudhury today lambasted upon the BJP government at the centre and said, “Modi is using the parliament to loot the money of poor labourers across the nation rather than waiving their loan.” He said, “The Modi government at the centre is simply waiving the loan of business heads of the nation by looting money of poor working class labourer,” said Mr. Choudhury.
Choudhury was addressing a large gathering of farmers and working class people of the state here at Agartala. To press for 12 points charter of demands for the farmers, the opposition CPI-M party today organized a giant gathering of Khet Mazdoor and Krishak Sabha.
Meantime, Mr. Choudhury today targeted the BJP lead coalition government in Tripura and said, “The BJP is depriving the poorer section of this state at large by putting false promises in its pre-poll vision document which perhaps has gone in vain.”
He said, “The 20 months of the BJP government in Tripura has failed to increase the social pension for the farmers and other poorer section of people of this state which was promised in its vision document.” He continued talking tough against the ‘’false promises’ of the BJP government in Tripura and said, “We want the Biplab Deb government in Tripura to immediately increase the social pensions for the poor.”
“The BJP government both at the centre and state has snatched the democratic rights of the people of this state and oppositions,” adding to this Mr. Choudhury said, “Democracy in this nation is in stake.”
