Ampi Agri Subdivision has distributed large number of power tillers among the tribal farmers at interior area of Ampi Nagar R.D. Block today.
Speaking on the occasion Agriculture Superintendent of Ampinagar R. D. Block Kohinoor Debbarma said, “we have distributed 85 power tillers among the tribal local farmers according to Beneficiary Selection list prepared by selection committee. Meanwhile Agriculture Department distributed power tillers at 22 ADC villages under SMAM Scheme, 2018-19.”
He expected that with the special advantage of the machines the farmers will become self reliant in their profession. The officials also provided special tips to the farmers on application of the tilling tool.
It is expected that the initiative of the department would be helpful to enhance agricultural production of farmers at remote areas.
Tripura LS Poll: 80.40% voting turnout recorded till 5 PM
