The candidates of bi-poll for Kailashahar Municipal Council are busy in campaigning from door to door. Meanwhile in house meeting organized in support of the candidates.
Among 6 seats four corner contests is going on in one seat and 5 corner contest is going on in another seat. At present contest is going on among three major parties. However the by-poll is a prestige issue to BJP and CPI-M.
Earlier all 6 seats were occupied by CPI-M. The bi-poll became necessary after resignation of the candidates due to unavoidable circumstances.
There was a trend of changing the party and resignation after change of government in the state. Five CPI-M councilors were participated in resignation. They will contest again to hold their existing seats.
Meanwhile 2 independent candidates of 15 members Council joined BJP. State secretary of BJP Nitish Deb is one among them. He is executing the administration of KMC at present.
At the same time Leftist councilors and vice chairperson forgotten the way of the municipal Council office. Occupying the municipal council will remain still in dream if BJP fails to occupy 6 seats of KMC. The target of making Nitish Deb vice president of KMC will remain still in dream if BJP remains unsuccessful to occupy all seats of bi-poll.
Meanwhile Congress accumulated all forces to occupy the seats as there is no seat for Congress. PCC president Birajit Sinha is wandering the locality during last one week. He expects win of Congress in all seats. People have to wait till December 26 to know the mandate of voters.
