Incessant reports of dog attacks has become a serious headache for three remote villages—Tangibari, Dhupiraband. Reportedly, the dog-menace is triggered by two pet dogs and a bitch that has already hospitalized a good number of domesticated animals and birds. Cattle-raearers have already stopped leaving their animals and birds in open in order to save them from being a victim of the aggressive trio.
According to local sources, since last few days it has become a heavy task for the villagers to ensure safety of the domestic animals. In recent past, four goats fallen prey of the aggressive trio, several calfs are under treatment in the local veterinary hospital and the number of hens and ducks is uncountable.
He also added, finding no other way out, on May 10 last, one of the villager, Ranadhir Dey registered a written compliant with the local police station. Police had also inspected the area but could not trace the owner of the dog.
Reportedly, all three dogs belonged to one Abani Paul, a resident of Tangibari village. Locals alleged, Abani and his family take no care of their pets. Abani is lives at Latumbai for professional purpose, both of his daughters are married and his sons remain busy with their work.
His wife who supposed to take care of the dogs also remain out of station most part of the day as she spent all her day in the houses of her daughters. Hence, in scarcity of adequate food and care from its owner, the dogs are now forced to live a life similar to hunting and gathering.
Meanwhile, the rude behavior of the dog owner to their pets has taken a serious turn for the villagers now. However, local police are also have nothing to do as they are failing repeatedly to catch up with Abani and his family.
