Despite negative response, CITU leader in Tripura claims of 'successful' bandh

AGARTALA:

As the 12 hour’s bandh has ended here in the state of Tripura, the communist party-backed Central Trade Union Tripura state committee has come up claiming of having good response of their bandh.

Addressing a press conference the CITU leader also the former transport minister Manik Dey claimed, "A large number of people of different walks of life mainly the labours have supported the bandh on Wednesday."

He later took on the BJP party and alleged, "A large number of BJP activists have threatened the shopkeepers and vehicle owners to keep their business normal and oppose the bandh."

Meantime, Mr. Dey blamed the BJP party and Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb over the party office ablaze incident. He alleged that the BJP has been rendering a terror tactics across the state to hide their failure to work for the welfare of the people of the state.
