Deprived families appeal to get price of their land

KANCHANPUR:

Altogether 15 families of Laxmipur village under South Dashda ADC area, who are deprived of getting value of their land under MIFC project of Water Resource department, are expecting attention of present State Government.

The Water Resource department assured to supply water for irrigation at land of the farmers. The then State Government planned to store water by building a pukka dam. For that purpose the government procured more than 200 Kani land from 28 families in 2014 during the period of Left Front. But the government paid value of their land to 13 families out of 28 donors of land.

The 15 families were deprived of their land as they were supporters of opposition party. Even they have not got their price of land during last one and half years of new coalition government.

Meanwhile authority of MIFC project said that they had no fund under the scheme.

So the deprived land owners requested the present State Government, they were waiting with expectation that the Government would look into their problem.
