Keeping parity with the entire state De-worming tablet Albendazol will be fed to the school students of Sipahijala district tomorrow.
Altogether 1,60, 707 students of 1941 educational institutions of three districts will get de-worming tablet tomorrow and on February 14. A district level meeting was organized at Sonamura Girl’s High School today seeking cooperation of all to provide the medicine to each and every student.
Speaking at meeting Chairman of Tripura Minority Development department Baharul Islam Majumder informed all about the necessity of the tablet to prevent different diseases and to make the students mentally and physically strong. The programme is going on in the state since 2008 according to instruction of Central Government and feeding of Abandazol is going on to the students of government and private schools from 1 year to 19 years age as a part of National De worming Day’s programme. Among others Subdivision Health Officer Dr. Goutam Chakaraborty, District Education Officer Habul Lodh stressed on 100 percent success of the programme.
Our correspondent from Ambassa added that a target of feeding de-worming tablet to 1,57,220 students has been set up tomorrow at 8 blocks of 4 subdivisions under Dhalai district. District Chief Medical Officer Chitan Debbarma gave this information at a press conference on February 6.
He said, Albadazol tablet and liquid will be provided to students of 835 government school, 41 private school, 6 colleges and 1282 Anganwadi centres. Altogether 3800 health workers will be engaged for the purpose.
Our correspondent from Kailashahar added that programme of De-worming Day inaugurated at Unakoti district by feeding of the medicine to students of Netaji Vidyapeeth. The tablets will be fed to the students of all schools, anganwadi, Madrasa and College tomorrow who are in between 1 to 19 years. Chairperson of KMC Bulbul Chakraborty, Vice Chairperson Nitish Dey, ADM Ajit Sukla Das, CMO in charge Sankha Subhra Debnath were present on the occasion.
