Once left desolate in nights, three schools under Santirbazar inspectorate of schools now look all light up and full of students seriously preparing for the round the corner board papers. Not only the students, the teachers who have their duties ended in the afternoon can be spotted guiding the students for the ensuing exams.
“The focus of this night coaching is to prepare the weaker students or to those who have no access to facilities to continue studies in their houses. This unique system has been first introduced in the year 2014 which led a school to fetch success in the Madhyamik exams after 10 years of nil performance. Even in 2018, a student passed with distinction setting an example for other students of the area”, said Inspectorate of Schools Dulal Chandra Biswas.
Reportedly, the entire system is a brain child of IS Dulal Chandra Biswas himself who first realized that to motivate the students of remote areas like Debi pur ADC village, Takma Charra and other adjoining areas there is a need of proper guidance. “Since, most of the students enrolled in these schools come from underprivileged section of the society having no access to facilities like private tuition; I have decided to start free coaching for the students in participation of some of the interested teachers”, Biswas said.
After the coaching have been started the results of Kaliprasad Bari high school improved in manifold. “After a first division in 2018, 2 students secured second division marks in last year’s Madhyamik exams. Not only that, 17 out of 19 students qualified the exams successfully” he added.
This success prompted the authorities to expand the idea thus, two new schools have been inducted in this system this year. “Binay Prasad ParaHigh School and North Takma Chara High School are now teaching students round the clock. More than 50 students are going to appear the exams starting next month from these schools” Biswas informed media.
He also hoped that if this idea end up obtaining good results the system will be further expanded all throughout the sub-division.
