The Congress in Tripura showed protest in front of the CBI office against the arrest of former Union Finance Minister of UPA II government P Chidambaram. The Congress while showing the protest has demanded the CBI to release Chidambaram. The agitators gathered in front of the CBI office today and raised slogans against the BJP government for arresting Chidambaram.
Mr. Chidambaram was taken into custody by Central Bureau of Investigation sleuths on Wednesday.
The protesters charged that the CBI acted as a puppet of the Modi government and sought the release of Chidambaram immediately.
