An amount of Rs 43,670 looted from two staffs of Bandhan Bank in deep jungle under Bagma Police Outpost today when they were going towards branch of the Bank after collecting amount of installment of the week from Khamarbari and Dargathang area.
Sources said that the two staffs were coming towards Bandhan Bank Service Centre by riding a bike. In the meantime some miscreants stopped their bike at lonely area Dargathang by tying black cloth on mouth. They looted Rs. 43,670, mobile phone from the staffs by targeting pistol on their chest. One staff Litan Deb was beaten up by the looters as he did not want to handover the money.
Later on the affected staffs informed the Bank Manager from mobile phone of a passerby. Immediately the Manager informed Bagma Police Outpost and Killa Police Station. On being informed OC of Bagma Police Outpost Sushanta Deb rushed to the spot.
Meanwhile OC of R.K. Pur Police Station Sunil Chandra Das and Additional SP of Gomati Jyotisman Das Choudhury rushed to the spot.
It is also mentionable that an amount of Rs. 50,000 was looted from tribal dominated area in July, 2018. The incident of looting one by one created panic among the staffs and depositors. Meanwhile Branch Manager of Bandhan Bank at Bagma filed a case R.K. Pur Police Station in connection with the incident.
