CM pitches for quality education, blames Left over 'corrupt' practices

AGARTALA:

Leaving the legacy of the Left behind, Tripura wants to develop its education system free from politics. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Saturday appealed the students of this state to adopt quality education and come out with a merit.

The Chief Minister also said that one shall not study for government job only; rather one shall study to come out with a good merit which perhaps shall nourish one's life.

However, the Chief Minister was addressing during the interaction programme with the ST candidates sponsored for D.El.Ed and B.Ed courses outside Tripura held at Agartala Pragna Bhawan. The state education Minister Ratan Lal Nath along with others remained present in the programme.

Meantime, the Chief Minister at Pragna Bhawan after the programme while replying to the query of the media persons has targeted the previous government and accused of taking commission from the close-aid colleges abroad where the students from Tripura were being send to study different course.

The Chief Minister clarified that the present government is mounting effort to bring in quality education among the students of this state apart from taking commissions from the colleges abroad.
