West Tripura Judicial Magistrate First Class has on today sent one Soma alias Hosanna Begum to 3 days police remand in charges of kidnapping a minor girl from Daspara, Mailakhala area located in the city outskirts.
Reportedly, the accused kidnapped Tania Akter daughter of Zarina Begum on December 26 last. Mother of the victim lodged an FIR with the local police station where she claimed that Hosanna and Hasina used to stay is their locality as tenants and her daughter was last seen with the duo.
Speaking to this reporter, APP Madhumita Chowdhury said, police prayed for 7 day police remand for the sake of interrogation as none of the co-accused or the victim could be traced yet. The court granted 3 day police remand.
