Chief Justice Sanjay Karol today along with Justice Subhasish Talaptra and Justice Arindam Lodh visited Unakoti. The visit of the Chief Justice to the carved hilly terrain of Unakoti is also special in a sense that he for the first time he went to the eminent tourist spot after assuming office.
A huge pool of security was catered centering his visit to the historic land. He was escorted by District Magistrate Rabindra Reang, SP Lucky Chowhan, Unakoti District Judge Pankaj Dutta and many more during his visit.
Spending half an hour there inquiring about the legacy and inherent of the pristine land he left for Dharmanagar. He was quite impressed knowing various facts regarding Unakoti, said Mrinal Kanti Sinha, a local columnist who also escorted the delegation of legal luminaries.
Meanwhile, the entire team of Tripura High Court Justices went to Kailashahar last evening to take note on Unakoti District Court and its functioning. The team spent last night there and went to Unakoti this morning. Near about 9 am the team left for Dharmanagar.
Notably, the visits are part of district wise inspection on judicial bodies, informed a highly placed source in the High Court. The team will visit almost all the district courts as an inspection tour, added the source.
