Chief Justice of High Court of Tripura- Sanjay Karol, who will leave for Patna tomorrow, was accorded a farewell in the High Court premises this afternoon.
At 3 pm, the High Court officially bade Justice Karol farewell. Prior to this, a Full Court address was held in the High Court to bid farewell to the Chief Justice Karol on his transfer as Chief Justice of Patna High Court.
In his address, Justice Karol said that he enjoyed every bit of his tenure in the High Court of Tripura, which was made possible only by a perfect work culture of his colleagues, staff and members of the Bar. “I firmly believe that the greatest strength of the judiciary is the faith of the people in it”, he maintained.
Justice Subhasish Talapatra said, Justice Karol possesses a desire to decide even the most complex and difficult issues. Justice Arindam Lodh was also present on the occasion.
The proceedings of the reference were conducted by Registrar General SG Chattopadhyay. Advocate General AK Bhowmik, chairman of the Bar Council of Tripura PK Dhar, president of High Court Bar Association Sankar Deb and Assistant Solicitor General of India Himangshu Deb also spoke on the occasion.
Members of the Bar, Judicial officers and officials of High Court Registry were also present. After Full Court reference, guard of honour was also given to the Chief Justice Karol. He is scheduled to be sworn-in as Chief Justice of Patna High Court on November 11 next.
