Cesarean Operation Theatre for pregnant mothers will be introduced at Teliamura Subdivision Hospital within few months. At the same time 24 hours Emergency Health Service will be introduced at the abandoned old Gramin Hospital. It was a long pending demand of local people at Teliamura.
Meanwhile MLA of Teliamura Kalyani Roy raised the demand at the assembly session. At that time Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and Health minister Sudip Roy Barman assured the MLA to take necessary steps for the purpose.
With this purpose a delegation from Health Department visited Operation Theatre of Teliamura Hospital and the old Gramin Hospital yesterday. Joint Director of Health department Subhasish Debbarma, Assistant Director Dibyendu Das, CMO of Khowai district and MLA Kalyani Roy were among the delegation.
During visit Joint Director said that Cesarean Theatre will be introduced here shortly. Meanwhile Anesthesia specialist Dr. Mrinal Debbarma has been transferred to Teliamura Hospital. The theatre will start functioning shortly after buying necessary instruments through e-tendering.
Besides initiative will be taken to introduce Trauma Center here as it is situated on National Highway, he added.
