The result of Senior Secondary exam conducted by National Institute of Open Schooling has created resentment among the examinees in the state.
Sources said that about 10,000 government and non- government teachers and unemployed candidates appeared in the examination in different subjects conducted by NIOS in October and November-2018 for up gradation of their marks in Higher Secondary Examination. Some of the fresh candidates also appeared in the examination of Senior Secondary. The result of Senior Secondary Exam announced yesterday.
In the result 95 percent of examinees of the state got AB in Bengali paper which denotes absent. The working teachers and non teaching staffs have been frustrated by noticing ‘Absent’ in spite of appearing in the examination on due date.
Besides most of the examinees passed in one or two papers or subjects who appeared the examination this year.
Apart from this ‘Syc’ written at results of some examinees beside AB where the abbreviated from written as ‘Subject yet to be cleared’.
In such a situation a mass frustration created among the examinees after declaration of result. Specially, the teachers who are involved with teaching are facing more problems by the result. Because they will have to show 50 percent marks in Higher or Senior Secondary within March, 2019 to appear DELED course. For that purpose the result was very important for the working teachers. But the present result totally disappointed them. Now the examinees demanded intervention of Chief Minister and Education minister to solve their crisis.
