Acting on specific information, BSF personnel seized huge quantity of banned syrup and tablets from bordering Areas of West Tripura and Sepahijala districts today.
According to a BSF statement, BSF personnel posted at Kamalasagar outpost seized 2975 number if YABA tablets from a suspicious packet.
In yet another recovery at Sonamura 190 such tablets along with 60 bottles of banned cough syrup (Phensedyl) were seizes. All the recovered items were handed over to respective police stations.
The BSF personnel also added that bordering smugglers were using water bodies to smuggle continue their inter-border illicit trade.
