Birth Day of Sardar Ballavbhai Patel observed with befitting respect

AMBASSA:

Birth anniversary of first Deputy Prime Minister of Independent India and Home Minister Sardar Ballav Bhai Patel observed with befitting respect at Dhalai District Sadar yesterday.

On the occasion ‘Run for Unity’ started from National Highway nearby Ambassa Town Hall at 6:30 a.m. More than five hundred youths participated in the Akta Dour including BSF Officers and jawans of 130 Battalion, officers and jawans of TSR 3rd Battalion along with officers and jawans of CRPF 140 Battalion and students and teachers of different government schools. DM of Dhalai Bikash Singh and SP of Dhalai Sudipta Das flagged off the Run for Unity at 6.30 a.m. The run ended at Kulai H.S. Ground.

A colourful rally and a seminar organized at Kulai H.S. School along with students of the school at 11a.m. with initiative of BSF 130 Battalion.

Deputy Commandant of BSF Ramlal represented different information about life Sardar Patel during his speech at seminar.

At the same time the officials explained the significance of the day at the hall of DM Office and SDM Office. Besides, all officials and staffs took oath on the day. Besides different schools, panchayats and village committees observed the day with the promise of maintaining integrity of the country.

Teacher Sukamal Das and Sushil Das delivered speech describing the self less contribution of Sardar Patel to build integrated India. A cultural programme also organized on the occasion.
