Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Thursday inaugurated the first-ever 2 days long Bharat-Bangla Paryatan Utsav here at Agartala Ujjayanta Palace premise aiming to promote the tourism in Tripura and apprise the people of the state and neighbouring Bangladesh of the tourist destinations in this state.
Mr. Deb said, "Tripura is working on developing the tourism sector in different fields." He said, "Apart from the scenic and natural beauty in Tripura, the government is trying to develop the tourism in other sectors like health, IT, cultural and spiritual."
"Health tourism has now come up as a major sector," adding to this Mr. Deb said, "Health sector has been improving in the state of Tripura." He said, "Government is putting utmost effort to build world-class health facilities in the state, which perhaps shall facilitate the people of neighbouring Bangladesh at large."
He said, "Once Tripura introduce world-class health facility, the people of Bangladesh will no more have to fly abroad crossing Tripura for better health care facilities."
Meantime, the Chief Minister today said, "IT tourism in Tripura shall play a key role towards facilitating the Bangladesh country in terms of language." He said, "Development of IT sector in Tripura by setting up a call centre shall ease the people of Bangladesh in understanding the language."
However, MPs, experts, artists, singers, poet, freedom fighters and other walks of life from Tripura and Bangladesh took part in the festival.
