In run of the Independence Day celebration, Police on Wednesday detained a Bangladeshi national from Kailashahar in North Tripura district. The Bangladeshi national is identified as Sadek Mohammad Jabed and he reportedly entered the India territory through Meghalaya border processing fake passport.
After the preliminary interrogation, Police informed that this Bangladeshi national has entered Tripura for at least 20 times though the Meghalaya border and currently he was living here in the state's North district in rented house.
Police is further interrogating the Bangladeshi national to unearth the cause of this visit to the state.
