3 NLFT militant surrendered in Tripura’s Gomati district

AGARTALA:

Three National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) militants on Tuesday surrendered before the Border Security Forces (BSF) at Udaipur in Gomati district. BSF in its press communiqué today said the cadres of the proscribed outfit deposited arms, ammunition and other documents.

The trio rebels belonging to splinter group of Parimal Debbarma came from across the border in Bangladesh, where they were active under as a new group of the proscribed outfit.

The surrendered NLFT rebels have been identified as Sannakumar Tripura, 29, Jarmaram Tripura, 27 of Choto Shakbari village in South Tripura and Sudharam Reang of Ashapara in North Tripura district. They laid down two point 38 caliber pistols and 528 live rounds of .38 bullets, said the press communiqué of the BSF.
