Some areas of Udaipur Municipal Council still remained water logged today although rain stopped after incessant rain during last two days. About 250 houses remained water logged under UMC in spite of suspension of rain in the afternoon today.
Sources said that ward no -3, 9, 18 and 19 are submerged under water after record quantity of rain within a short period. Meanwhile the people nearby Gomati river have shifted at relief camps from their houses due increase in water level of the river. According to sources Giridhari Palli under Ward no-3, Dak Banglow Road under Ward no 9, Housing Board at Ward 18 and houses of Sonamura area are still submerged under flood water.
Meanwhile crops of paddy field damaged by rain at Maharani, Matabari, Khilpara, Jamjuri, Palatana and Hadra areas. In the meantime officials of administrative authority under Udaipur subdivision visited different flood affected areas of Udaipur.
Besides different roads of UMC are still submerged under water. Local people alleged that flood situation created in Udaipur as drains were not cleaned in due time and water bodies filled unscientifically in the town.
