Professional cricketer Yashpal Singh once again today proved that why he has been rated as one of the most dependable batsmen in the Tripura Squad, as his brilliant unbeaten ton and also good batting by Captain Manisankar Murasingh puts Tripura on the driver seat on the opening day of KKSCA invitation cricket tournament.
Against Himachal Pradesh cricket association, at the end of day one today Tripura made 304 for the loss of 6 wickets. This good finish could not been happen with the contribution from Yashpal Singh and Manisankar Murasingh as at one stage Tripura was in the spot of bother on the score of 27/3. Now all eyes will be on day 2 as Tripura will have to cross the 350 mark.
In the morning at Alore cricket field Tripura Captain won the toss and elected to bat first. Tripura made a horrible start as they lost 3 wickets for just 27 runs. Udiyan Basu (1), Smit Kumar Patel (3) and Kaushal Acharjee (10) went out cheaply.
