Women Knockout Football Tournament: Tripura Police to face Sports School in final

AGARTALA:

Tripura Police today defeated Jampuijala Play centre by 2-1 and thus moved to the final of the ongoing Women league football tournament organized by Tripura Football association.

The final match will be held on November 19 at Umakanta mini stadium where Tripura Sports School will face Tripura Police. Today though Jampuijala play centre increased their strength but in the end lost the match and has been knocked out from the tournament. At Dasarath Deb stadium today both the teams have played equal level football.

In the Jampuijala team today 6 players from Teliamura and 1 footballer from Bishramganj have been hired and increased the strength compare to the Police team. But they failed to cop up in front of vast experience from the Police players as in the 5thminute of the match Fudulu Debbarma scored the opening goal for Police.

In the 45th minute Jampuijala scored the equalizer when Hena Debbarma scored the equalizer. But in the 73rd minute of the match Kabita Jamatia scored the stunning goal with her own skills and thus in the end Tripura Police won the match by 2-1. Shibjyoti Chakraborty conducted the match today.
