Umakanta coaching centre finally got the taste of win today as they defeated Teliamura XI by a minimum margin of 1-0. In the ongoing Women’s league football tournament organized by Tripura Football association, Panchami Debbarma today scored the only goal for Umakanta coaching centre. This is their first win after playing 5 matches in the tournament. The match today held at Dasarath Deb sports complex where Umakanta showed dominance.
Due to rain from the last night the condition of the field was not as good as it was earlier and in this situation both the teams failed to play their best in the match. Both the teams already have been knocked out from the tournament as this was a sheer formality match for both the teams. In the 25th minute of the match Panchami Debbarma scored the opening and only goal for Umakanta which stayed till the end as Umakanta coaching won the match by 1-0.
On the other hand the important match in this tournament between Bishramganj play centre and Tripura Sports school was scheduled to play at Swami Vivekananda stadium today but due to Governor’s programme the stadium was busy and thus both the teams returned to their home after being there in the stadium on time. Tripura Football association members were unaware about the fact and they will provide with traveling allowance to Bishramganj.
