West District Under 14: Sadar starts with win

AGARTALA:

Sadar Subdivision today made a winning start as they defeated Teliamura subdivision by 71 runs in the opening match of the ongoing West District Under 14 cricket tournament organized by Tripura Cricket association.

Batting first at Jirania School field Sadar Subdivision made 186 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Among the batsmen Pritam Das remained unbeaten on 47 from 69 balls with 5 fours while among the others Ramesh Kumar Roy made 32 while Aravinda Prasad Roy made 21.

Among the bowlers Dulabh Roy picked up 2 wickets. In reply Teliamura bundled out for a mere 115 runs. Among the batsmen Pancham Roy made 32.

Among the Sadar bowlers Diptanu Chakraborty picked up 3 wickets and Ramesh Chandra Roy picked up 2 wickets. Sadar Subdivision won the match by 71 runs.

The New Zealand all-rounder, who’s stepped into the role of an injured Devon Conway, said being an opener is just about being a lot more comfortable at the top and is close to unlocking his potential in that position.
