In a striking move, a mob comprising local residents’ today gheraoed the forest bit office of North Laljuri.
Reportedly, the protest came into action following long absence of government works under forest department.
According to the protesters, the employees of the department are consistently depriving the local masses by not issuing any work order for them.
The jobs like weeding of gardens, beetle gardening and many other are entrusted to locals appointing them casually, but such works are allegedly stopped since last five months which has however costing a lot to the local residents, mostly tribal.
Meanwhile, the concerned authority is still to answer anything regarding the issue. Most of the agitators accused the SDFO for such mismanagement. Allegations of corruption were also leveled against him.
