Under 17 Boy’s State Football starts today

SHANTIRBAZAR:

In between huge enthusiasm and excitement, School Sports Under 17 Boys State Football tournament started from today.

In the evening at Santirbazar community hall the tournament has been inaugurated by Fisheries minister Manindra Reang.

Among the other dignitaries South District Sabhadhipati Himangshu Roy, ADC Executive member Parikshit Murasingh, Bagafa Panchayet Samiti Chairperson Sankar Majumder, State School Sports Board Secretary Dhirendra Choudhury, Santirbazar District Magistrate Bisashree V, Santirbazar Panchayet Samiti Chairperson Dipali Nandi and Santirbazar Municipal Council Chairman Ratan Chandra Das remained present in the opening ceremony of the tournament.

Before the opening ceremony in the opening match today Sepahijala District defeated Gomati district by 1-0. Sahil Debbarma scored the only goal for the winning team.
